Day 1: Arrival d
Welcome to Tbilisi, the Magic capital of Georgia!
Meet and assist at Tbilisi International Airport;
Welcome dinner in a local restaurant;
Tbilisi Night Tour (depends on your arrival time): Tbilisi view at night from Narikhala fortress, drive to Freedom square, Rustaveli Avenue, and much more if time permits;
Overnight in Tbilisi (in the chosen hotel).
Day 2: Tbilisi, the city where East meets West d
Breakfast at the hotel;
Old Tbilisi Walking Tour: meet your guide and start your tour from The Holy Trinity Cathedral (commonly known as Sameba) – the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world and one of the largest religious buildings in the world; continue to Virgin Mary Metekhi church, located on the cliff, on the left bank of the river Mtkvari and the equestrian statue of the King Vakhtang Gorgasali (the legendary founder of Tbilisi) beside it; Walk down to Tbilisi’s Old Town District: visit Sulphur Baths (“Abanotubani”); The Mosque, where the Shiah and the Sunnite Branch of Moslem people praying side by side; stroll through the narrow, shady pedestrian streets with classic Eastern overhanging balconies, Shardeni Street famous with its cozy, modern cafes, bars, fashionable galleries and souvenir shops; Visit Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica and bell tower; Stop at the Leaning Clock Tower with its truly unique and bizarre structure; Walk across the Bridge of Peace to Rike Park; Take cable car to Narikala Fortress – ancient citadel overlooking Tbilisi and the River Mtkvari.

The Spiritual heart of Georgia – Mtskheta
Drive to Mtskheta – ancient capital of Kartli (the East Georgian Kingdom from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century Ad), 20km northwest of Tbilisi, located at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari Rivers and was also location where Christianity was proclaimed as the official religion of Georgia in 337.
UNESCO World Heritage Walking Tour – visit the complex of the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (built in 1010-1029cc) and the Samtavro Monastery (built in the 4th century); Continue way to the Holy Cross Monastery of Jvari (dated 585-604cc AD) – located on the hill top near the town Mtskheta;
Dinner at one of the best Georgian traditional restaurant in Mtskheta;
Drive back to Tbilisi;
Overnight at the hotel
Day 3: The Magic of the Medieval Georgia d
Breakfast at the hotel;
Early driving to the charming town of Georgia – Kutaisi – the cradle of ancient civilization, founded around 4 millenniums ago;
Walking tour through old historic site – pedestrian White Bridge, Opera house, the picturesque central square, large ornamental Colchis Fountain, unique traditional market - bazaar, local shops, cafes and art galleries;
Lunch break;
Walking to the Ukimerioni hill located north of Kutaisi, where UNESCO Heritage Site -Bagrati Cathedral is situated (built in the early years of the 11th century during the reign of king Bagrat III, the first king of united Georgia, due to which it was called “Bagrati”);
Short drive (12km east from Kutaisi) to a medieval architectural complex of the Gelati Monastery and Academy - a masterpiece of the Georgian Golden Age recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site (was founded in 1106 by King David the Builder); Off the Gelati road we will also visit the Motsameta Monastery (built in the 8th century) located on the cliff-edge above the Tskhaltsitela River, 6km out of Kutaisi. By the legend, if you make a wish and crawl three times under the tomb of Georgian Saint’s – brothers David and Konstantin - without touching the walls, your wish will definitely come true!
Dinner with a great view of the old Kutaisi;
Overnight in Kutaisi.
Day 4 : to “the land of thousand towers” – Upper Svaneti d
Breakfast at the hotel;
Early driving to Prometheus Cave (20km away from Kutaisi) – one of the most touristy spots of Georgia, where you can enjoy a 280 meter boat tour on the underground lake in the cavern. The cave is famous with its various types of stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, petrified waterfalls, cave pearls, underground rivers, and lakes.
Lunch break;
Long but very exotic and memorable route from Kutaisi to Mestia (4-5 hours);
Arrive in Mestia and free evening time to explore famous Svanetian Towers – symbol of Svaneti, erected mainly in the 9th-12th centuries;
Enjoy dinner with typical Svanetian pastry (Kubdari and Chishdvari) and breathe fresh air at an altitude of over 2.000metres;
Overnight in Mestia.
Day 5: Highest populated village in Europe (2200m) d
Breakfast at the hotel;
Jeep tour to Ushguli village which is included in UNESCO World Heritage Sites and located near the foot of Shkhara – one of the highest summits of the Greater Caucasus Mountains (5068m); According to UNESCO Criterion: “The region of Upper Svaneti is an outstanding example of an exceptional mountain landscape composed of highly preserved villages with unique defensive tower houses, examples of ecclesiastical architecture and arts of medieval origin.”
Short relaxing walk in the small village Ushguli (about 70 families living there) towards the foothills of Shkhara glacier; visit Lamaria Chapel with old magnificent murals and frescoes (according to local people Queen Tamar was buried under this church) and enjoy picturesque view of the Mount Shkhara;
Return back to Mestia for dinner;
Overnight at the hotel/guesthouse.
Day 6: Depurture d
Our Magic Tour comes to an end but memories last forever!
Breakfast check-out from the hotel;
On our way back to Tbilisi we will make a few stops. At first we will stop near Engury Dam – world’s second highest concrete arch dam with a height of 272 metres (891ft) and after in Zugdidi, where we will visit Dadiani Palace of the Samegrelo queen Ekaterine and Prince Niko Dadiani, court church and botanic garden. The Palace is considered to be one of the most eminent places in Caucasus. The collections of the Museum consist of over 45,000 items and include several utterly unique pieces, such as Napoleon Bonaparte’s death mask and a garment traditionally believed to have been worn by the Virgin Mary.

Transfer to Tbilisi International Airport..
